Christian, Havannah has been implemented on the turn based server Little Golem. I am trying to convince the manager there to add the pie rule. You are welcome to join the discussion if you like: http://tinyurl.com/56e5n8 Thanks for a great game BTW!

Received my Grand Chess set today from my wife for an early Sinterklaas gift. It is very nice - it's a beautifully made set and it makes the games so much deeper than just playing on the screen. Thanks for a great product!

Thanks a bunch for your positive feedback on our Grand Chess set. Glad you like it.

Christian, nice site upgrade.
Havannah is, of course, a great game. I didn't realize you had posted the game when Peter Koning beat me senseless. Unfortunately, my brother saw it first and gave me all kinds of junk about it. I'm playing David now, so we'll see how well HE fares.
This game has been hours of fun, so thanks.

I can safely say I've played it longer than anyone

Good one, but not really.
One is revelation and the other is divination.
Take care... -tb

Thanks for a fabulous website... Love GrandChess and am looking forward to getting a set from your store.
(Had to give it a "4" though instead of a "5" as I'm a fan of the "other" Book that warns against divination of any kind.)
Thanks for the great games!

Hi Theo,
Something like Kortschnoi's famous remark?
"Being superstitious brings bad luck"

So you actually consulted de book about it!
Well, a few years ago i made a try to program the outcome of the six throws, and also it crossed my mind that I could easily simulate the throws with a random routine. Shortly after that I had a computer crash, and of course I had not made a backup ... So now I will take a more careful approach, in more thand one aspect...

LOL, no I've experienced only 'help from heaven' when I asked the Book to reveal a framework for interpreting the connexion.
But they do indeed have a peculiar sense of humor up there, see the story in the 'Octopuszle'.

By the way, I am an I Ching fan too

In my case 'fan' may not be the right word. I'm not even sure what the right word is. But the Book itself appears at least satisfied with the program, though there are undertones of warning against insincerity.

Hi Christian,
A nice and quiet website layout. One thing I just noticed while reviewing some games: If there is a long text comment with a move, you have to use the horizontal scrollbar to see the text at the right side of the screen. It would be better to reduce the column-width of the comments, so that the text is wrapped earlier within the frame, and you don't have to use the horizontal scrollbar. Or something else that has the same effect.
Regards, Paul.

Hi Paul,
Thanks, I'll look into it - shouldn't be a big problem.
