Characteristic of this pattern is a white capture which opens the 'trap', a hole that black must immediately fill with a capture of his own.
Here on 1.c5b6 or 1.c5d6 black can promote with 1...h41 and after white's promotion he can capture to d6 or b6 respectively, coming out with a man more and two more threatening promotion.
