Coup Weiss
A refinement of the Coup de l'Expresse, this pattern of capture is named after the French player Isidore Weiss (1867-1936), a combinatorial genius and the last of the 'romantics', who dominated the game from 1899 till 1912, when he was decisively beaten by Dr. Alfred Molimard, who represented the new analytical approach to the game.
