At the start of spring 2022 I decided that I needed a project to work on and investigating the role of neutral pieces in flat territory games with a more or less organic behaviour, seemed as good as any other. So I posted a thread at BGG in search for examples and one of them was an Othello variant invented by Joao Pedro Neto in 2000, called Desdemona.
